The Dehing Patkai Conservation Movement

About the place: Dehing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Dibrugarh and Tinsukia Districts of Assam and covers an area of 111.19 km² rainforests. It is part of the Assam valley tropical wet evergreen forest and consists of three parts: Jeypore, upper Dihing River, and Dirok rainforest.

                   There has been great chaos rising from the North-Eastern region as soon as the central government allowed the drilling of coal mining within the reserved area of the Dehing Patkai wildlife sanctuary. Famously known as the Amazon of the east is widely known for its numerous rich unique flora and fauna that is to be found only here. Thus in order to dethrone the ill intention of the government, the people from around the world are raising their concern to prevent the coal mining task at its initial moment for the betterment of the reserved area or to be precise for the conservation of the biodiversity of the entire region. Or else, the consequence of destroying the biodiversity will be the same as has already been resembled through the burning of Amazon forest, Australian forest fire, and so on.
